Here are mock drafts updated after the first round listing who analysts are predicting that the Bears will select with their two second-round picks:

Dane Brugler, The Athletic

No. 39: Georgia receiver George Pickens
Comment: Despite a few red flags, Pickens has the traits to develop into Justin Fields‘ WR1.

No. 48: Oklahoma defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey
Comment: Winfrey gives the Bears the interior disruption they have been searching for this offseason.

No. 39: Georgia receiver George Pickens
Comment: The Bears’ supporting cast around Justin Fields could be improved. Pickens had his greatest season as a highly touted true freshman in 2019, when he caught 49 passes for 727 yards and eight touchdowns. Despite missing the majority of last season due to a ruptured ACL, the lanky receiver has exceptional body control and good hands.

No 48: Baylor safety Jalen Pitre
Comment: Pitre’s intelligence and intuition enable him to play quickly and have a significant impact on the game in a variety of ways. Last season, the 2021 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year with 75 tackles, 18.5 TFLs, 3.5 sacks, two interceptions, and three forced fumbles.

No. 39: Cincinnati receiver Alec Pierce

Comment: While offensive tackle may be the most pressing need for the Chicago Bears with their first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, there isn’t a prospect in this mock that you’d feel comfortable choosing. Ryan Poles will feel at ease picking Cincinnati’s Alec Pierce as a go-to threat for second-year quarterback Justin Fields because of his size and speed.

No. 48: Central Michigan tackle Bernhard Raimann
Comment: With their second pick in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, the Bears address the offensive line after selecting their wide receiver at No. 39. Bernhard Raimann, a former tight end who switched to offensive lineman, has primarily played left tackle for Central Michigan. He does, however, possess the quickness, flexibility, and strength to play right tackle in the NFL.

Vinny Iyer, The Sporting News

No. 39: Baylor safety Jalen Pitre
Comment: In the absence of young emerging star Jaylon Johnson, the Bears struggled at cornerback and need to acquire a reliable covering option for new defensive-minded head coach Matt Eberflus. Pitre possesses exceptional intelligence and awareness, as well as the ability to play both inside and outside.

No. 48: North Dakota State receiver Christian Watson
Comment: With Allen Robinson gone, the Bears need a field-stretcher to play alongside new No. 1 Darnell Mooney. Watson would be the ideal fast No. 2 for Justin Fields, who would be able to play off Mooney and tight end Cole Kmet.
