The latest edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) concluded on Sunday evening, with debutant Gujarat Titans winning the prized title by seven wickets against Rajasthan Royals.

Titans’ skipper Hardik Pandya led the squad from the front with an outstanding all-round display, taking three wickets and playing a 34-run knock.

Pandya’s clinical efforts of 3/17 in 4 overs assisted Gujarat in limiting Rajasthan to 130/9 in 20 overs after they elected to bat first. They then finished 131 runs in 18.1 overs, making the final a one-sided encounter.

However, Rajasthan did have reason to celebrate in the end. Jos Buttler, the tournament’s highest run-scorer, received practically every individual award, including a significant monetary prize.

Here are the details of the prize money that players received at the end of the tournament for this splendid performance.

Buttler, who finished the season with 863 runs to his career, won six individual awards and a total of sixty lakhs in cash.

Buttler hit 45 sixes in total during the event, the most of any cricketer. For this remarkable accomplishment, he was awarded ₹100,000. In terms of fours, Buttler hit 83, the most by any individual, and was awarded an additional $100,000 for his efforts.

Apart from smashing the most sixes and fours, Buttler was also granted an additional ₹100,000 for being the season’s gamechanger. He received an additional ₹100,000 for being the season’s power player.

Lockie Ferguson of the Titans bowled a delivery that reached 157.3 kmph on the speedometer in the final. This was recorded as the season’s fastest delivery, which allowed him to win $100,000.

Umran Malik was named the season’s best rising player, earning him a ₹10,000 prize.

Yuzvendra Chahal, the season’s top wicket-taker, earned ₹100,000.

The catch by Evin Lewis that eliminated the Kolkata Knight Riders from the play-off race was deemed the finest catch of the season. He was awarded a cash prize of ₹10,000.

In terms of teams, Rajasthan Royals led by Sanju Samson was awarded a hefty ₹12.5 crores for finishing second. Meanwhile, titleholders Gujarat received  ₹20 crores.

Pandya was named punch striker of the season, and he was awarded the Tata Punch vehicle, which was shown during the season.
