Sunrisers Hyderabad’s skipper Kane Williamson will return to New Zealand for the birth of his second child.

Fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Nicholas Pooran are among the top choices to lead the team in their final fixture against Punjab Kings on May 22, if Williamson is to miss the match.
Both teams, Sunrisers and Kings, are struggling for the playoffs spot. They are putting their hopes on Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals slipping up.
Williamson struggled with the bat this season his strike rate of 93.50 becomes the lowest.
The right-hand batter was slipped to no. 6 during the match against Mumbai Indian, where he managed to score eight runs off seven balls.
With Williamson absent, fellow New Zealander Glenn Philips might get a chance to make his debut for the team.
Philips can bat dynamically at both top and middle order.
He was the top six-hitter in T20 cricket in 2021 with 97 sixes in 57 innings.
