Sri Lanka has surpassed Pakistan in the ICC World Test Championship rankings after defeating Bangladesh in Dhaka.

The visiting team gained 12 points as they won the series 1-0 against Bangladesh.

Sri Lanka only required 29 runs to claim the series with first match ending in a draw. They completed the target in three povers withut the loss of a single wicket.

Asitha Fernando clamed the player of the match title after he took 10-wicket haul. He beccame the second player fro his country to have amassed 10 wickets ina single match.

While the ex-Sri Lankan captain Angelo Methews clinched the player of the series title after scoring the highest runs in a series with 344 runs, including two tons.

Pakistan will regain the lost position as they take on Sri Lanka in a Test sseries of two matches later this year.
