Tammy Abraham, England’s striker, has outperformed all expectations since joining Chelsea last summer. While his Roma side failed to qualify for the Champions League for the fourth consecutive season due to a sixth-place finish in Serie A.
With a brace against Torino in Roma’s final league game of the season, the 24-year-old London-born finisher netted his 16th and 17th Serie A goals, breaking Gerry Hitchens’ single-season record for most goals scored by an Englishman in the Italian top flight set in 1961/62 for Inter Milan.

The focus now quickly shifts to the club’s Europa Conference League final against Feyenoord in Tirana, where Abraham is widely expected to add to his nine-goal tally and lead Roma to victory.

Apart from Chelsea, several other clubs have been linked with a summer move for Abraham.
Given the circumstances, Chelsea’s London rivals Arsenal are perhaps the strongest link and most likely destination at the moment. Arsenal are desperate for a stand-out number nine this summer.

Given the Gunners’ fifth-place finish, Abraham’s willingness to accept less than Champions League football next season could be a stumbling block. But, given the 24-year-old grew up an Arsenal fan, perhaps UCL football wouldn’t be too much of a stumbling block.
