Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, Pakistani cricketers won the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) with Jamaica Tallahwahs on Friday.
Amir did not participate in the final due to a groyne ailment, but he was instrumental in Jamaica’s run to the final.
Meanwhile, Imad shone in the grand final, taking a wicket and conceding only 18 runs in four overs.
Amir finished fourth overall, with Imad Wasim taking the second-most wickets. Imad grabbed 17 wickets in 13 games at a 5.97 economy, while Amir took 16 in 12 games at a 6.43 economy.
The Jamaica Tallawahs defeated the Barbados Royals by eight wickets, owing to outstanding batting performances from Brandon King and Shamarah Brooks.
Azam Khan, another Pakistani athlete, was on the losing side, but he played a valiant inning for his club, scoring an unbeaten 51 runs in 40 balls to assist Barbados Royal reach a respectable 162-run objective.
Following the victory, Amir and Imad took to their official Twitter accounts.

It is worth noting that Imad is contending for a spot in the Pakistan team despite being dropped during the November 2021 series against Bangladesh, whilst Amir only plays franchise cricket after retiring from international cricket in December 2020.
