ODI whitewash in Australia doesn’t bother England’s Buttler

• Jos Buttler, the captain of England’s white-ball team, has asked the administrators to ensure that bilateral cricket is still relevant despite their 3-0 defeat in Australia
• The England one-day team was destroyed by Australia by 221 runs on Tuesday as Australia won the three-match series
• This came nine days after Australia defeated Pakistan in the T20 World Cup final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground

At the MCG, the home team amassed 355-5 before dismissing England for 142 in 31.4 overs in front of a mainly empty crowd.

After England’s worst loss in this format, Buttler told the BBC, “It was always going to be a tough series for us, coming off of the World Cup.”

Every time England plays Australia, you want to do well, but it’s been challenging.

To be completely honest, I couldn’t care less about the outcomes. We received all we hoped for during the trip to Australia.

The fact that numerous players of England’s test squad are already in Abu Dhabi getting preparations for their trip of Pakistan could also be used to determine the severity of their hectic itinerary.
