Nida Dar, an all-rounder for the Pakistani women’s cricket team, was nominated for an ICC Awards 2022 on Thursday by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Nida Dar, who is an all-rounder, competed in 16 Twenty20 Internationals in 2022 and averaged 56.57 runs per game. She also took 15 wickets, which led to her being named the ICC Women’s Twenty20 International Cricketer of the Year.
She is the first bowler from Pakistan to have ever taken 100 wickets in a Twenty20 International and is currently the bowler with the second-most wickets in women’s Twenty20 Internationals.
In addition to Nida, the batting contender Smriti Mandhana of India, Sophie Divine of New Zealand, and Tahlia McGrath of Australia are all up for consideration for the prize.
