India vs Bangladesh: Kuldeep Yadav, in only his eighth Test appearance, bowled out Bangladesh for 150 on the third morning in Chattogram. This was his first Test appearance in 22 months. They had a 254-point lead but chose not to implement the follow-on.

KL The next pair, Rahul and Shubman Gill, showed no urgency, scoring only 16 runs in the first eight overs. Rahul smashed two fours against Mehidy Hasan Miraz to bring the score to 36 without loss and the team’s lead reached 290 in the final over before lunch.

Since Ebadot Hossain did not play, Bangladesh’s second innings bowling was opened by Khaled Ahmed and Taijul Islam. After removing Shreyas Iyer on Thursday, Ebadot left the field for the remainder of India’s first innings, presumably due to injury.

As a result, Bangladesh’s overnight score of 133 for 8 was all they could add in the morning. Breaking the 42-run stand between Ebadot and Mehidy, Kuldeep struck in the fifth over of the day by catching him down the leg side.

After that, Mehidy continued to try farming the strike with occasional attempts at massive hits. A spell from Mohammed Siraj was sat through by him and Khaled before Rahul substituted in Axar Patel.

There was a sudden jolt when Axar came into a straightaway. He then hit Khaled in the back thigh with the second ball, beating his outside edge. India challenged the on-field not-out call, but a replay indicated that the impact and stumps were both umpire’s decisions.

When the umpire called lbw on Khaled on the final ball of the same over, the batter successfully appealed the call on the grounds that there had been an inside edge.

It wasn’t for long that Axar would be ignored. With the next over, Rishabh Pant had an easy time of it when Mehidy skipped down the track but utterly missed the ball.
