The Karachi Kings have appointed Johan Botha as their new head coach.
Botha worked as a fielding coach for Karachi Kings in the PSL in 2017 and 2020.
The draught of players for the next PSL 8 will take place in Karachi on Thursday.

The Karachi Kings confirmed on Twitter that former South African cricketer Johan Botha will be their head coach for the next season of the Pakistan Super League.
Karachi Kings tweeted on Thursday, “Excited to name Johan Botha as the Head Coach for the Karachi Kings for #HBLPSL8.”
“Welcome Johan! looking forward to a great season with you!” it added.

The Pakistan Cricket Board had already said how the draught would go. The defending champions, the Lahore Qalandars, will pick first, followed by the Quetta Gladiators and the Multan Sultans, who won in 2021.

Karachi Kings, the champions of the 2020 tournament, will pick fourth, and Islamabad United, which has won the tournament twice, will pick fifth.
Peshawar Zalmi, on the other hand, will have the last pick in the draught because they won in 2017.
Also, the big tournament will be held next year from February 9 to March 19. The PSL’s eighth season will take place in Karachi, Multan, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.
