The vice-chairman of the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), Khalid Al Zarooni, has received assurances from Najam Sethi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee, that Pakistani players will participate in the UAE’s International League T20 next season.

Sethi was invited to the ILT20’s opening ceremony on January 13 and is now in the United Arab Emirates.

It should be mentioned that no Pakistani player is taking part in the competition’s inaugural season, which is being held in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.

Sources claim that the previous PCB management requested three million dollars from the ECB in order to release its players for the league, which was not well received by the ILT20’s officials.

However, Sethi was able to put a stop to the animosity between the cricket boards, and now both parties are prepared to collaborate for the future improvement of the sport.

If necessary, the ECB will also assist the PCB in holding matches in the UAE.
