Ramiz Raja shared WhatsApp screenshots of PJL MOU

• PCB Management Committee decided to end PJL last week.

• Franchises for next PJL season would be set by January 13.

Ramiz Raja, who used to be the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), shared some screenshots from WhatsApp that show the MOU signed for the first Pakistan Junior League (PJL).

The PCB Management Committee, led by its chairman Najam Sethi, decided to end the PJL last week. The committee said that the league was losing a lot of money.

Raja answered the accusations and told them about the MOU, which could have made them a lot of money in the future.

“Reproducing the signed MOU for PJL. It confirms the value sustainability and profit it could have yielded to the Board… and most importantly young players development,” Raja wrote this while sending screenshots of PJL’s MOU through WhatsApp.

The former cricket player also said that franchises for the next PJL season would be set by January 13.

PJL was Ramiz’s idea, and he was upset when it was decided to stop making it.

It is important to note that Raja was fired overnight, just a few days after the national team’s humiliating first-ever 3-0 whitewash at home by England.

As required by the PCB 2014 constitution, the new management body made some quick decisions, one of which was to bring back departmental cricket.
