Aamer Yamin, an all-rounder for the Karachi Kings, lauded club president Wasim Akram for giving the team a lot of confidence before they took on their fierce rivals Lahore Qalandars in the eighth match of the Pakistan Premier League (PSL) season 8 on Sunday.

After a decisive victory over Qalandars, Aamer stated in a news conference that a former Test cricketer had given the team tremendous encouragement.

In three overs against Qalandars, Aamer claimed two wickets while giving up only 18 runs. After Kings’ primary bowler Mohammad Amir exited the field owing to soreness in his right leg, he bowled brilliantly.

Aamer responded that he is a world-class bowler and he teaches him a lot in response to a question regarding Amir’s presence in their dugout.

“Amir Bhai is an international bowler. I’m learning a lot from him. He did go out today, and I got to bowl in his place. Our strategy was to bowl on line and length, which I accomplished “He mentioned this while emphasising that Amir is doing well and would be ready for the next game.

On February 23, Kings will now travel to Multan to take on Multan Sultans. Aamer, who is from Multan, urged residents there to come out and support his team.
