Today, Karachi Kings will face Peshawar Zalmi in the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) (Tuesday).
The match will be held at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi, with both teams hoping to get off to a good start in the tournament.
Zalmi will have a new captain in the form of star batter Babar Azam, while the Kings will be led by all-rounder Imad Wasim.

After a glittering opening ceremony, the first match of the event was played yesterday, with defending champions Lahore Qalandars defeating Multan Sultans by one run in Multan.
The final and closing ceremony will take place on March 19 in Lahore, which will also host play-offs.
The winner will not only receive the Supernova Trophy, but also a cheque for Rs120 million, while the runners-up will receive a cheque for Rs48 million.
Zalmi and Kings have faced each other 17 times, with the former winning 12 times and the latter winning five.
Karachi’s best score in PSL history came against Peshawar in 2020, when they won 201-4 at home.
Interestingly, Karachi’s lowest PSL total is also against Zalmi, as they only managed 108-9 in Abu Dhabi in 2021.
In terms of runs, Zalmi’s biggest win came against Kings in 2019, when they won by 61 runs in Karachi.
Kamran Akmal has the most sixes by a player in a match between Kings and Zalmi, with eight in Lahore in 2018.
Both teams have a slew of star players on their rosters who will be eager to show their worth on the field.
