After getting married in a quiet Nikah ceremony last month, Pakistani all-rounder Shadab Khan has begun his wedding celebrations.

A video from the couple’s mehndi appeared on social media as the wedding festivities got underway. Samyah Khan, the wife of Pakistani bowler Hassan Ali, first shared the video on her Instagram account, and it was thereafter spread on other social media.

In the video, Samyah can be seen hennaing Shadab’s hand.

Shadab confirmed his Nikah with the mentor’s daughter on January 23.

“Alhamdulilah, today was my Nikkah. It is a big day in my life and the start of a new chapter. Please respect my choices and those [of my] wife, and our families. Prayers and love for all,” he tweeted.

Khan wrote in his note that he was assimilating into his “tutor Saqi bhai’s family.”

The young pacer informed his supporters of his decision to always keep personal and professional obligations separate, emphasising that his family had made the same decision.

For Pakistani cricketers, it is wedding season as the nation’s pace sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi wed Ansha Afridi, the daughter of former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, last week. On February 3, their Nikah ceremony was place in Karachi with the presence of the team’s captain Babar Azam, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, squash star Jahangir Khan, and actor Adnan Siddiqi.

Ansha Afridi’s rukhsati ceremony, in honour of her father Shahid Afridi, is anticipated to happen later.

Earlier, in a private Nikah wedding performed in Peshawar, batter Shan Masood also wed Nische Khan.

Prior to Shan, pacer Haris Rauf tied the knot with his classmate Muzna Masood Malik by completing a Nikah contract at an event in Islamabad.
