Young paceman Zaman Khan of Lahore Qalandars has declared his intention to dismiss Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam during their forthcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) match on Sunday.

Zaman stated in a conversation: “My objective is to eliminate Babar Azam. Regrettably, I missed the catch myself last year, but this time, I’m hoping I can pull him out.”

The pacer described Mohammad Haris as a “excellent batter” and promised to bowl to him in a variety of ways.

He responded, “Shaheen and Haris are both international players and I get the opportunity to learn from them,” when asked about the effect of having Pakistan’s finest bowlers, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf, beside him.

In the PSL 8 opener against Multan, Zaman bowled a fantastic final over, holding Multan to 15 runs in six deliveries while facing off against players like Khushdil Shah and seasoned West Indian hitter and T20 expert Kieron Pollard. The pacer’s valiant efforts enabled his team to defeat Multan by one run.

The right-arm pacer bowled the same over that he did in the seventh PSL against Islamabad United, the reigning champions.

Zaman responded when questioned about his ability to knock the fate-deciding over: “We practice white-ball bowling after our red-ball season is finished, especially in the death overs where we learn to throw yorkers and slower deliveries. This benefits the game, the captain likes it, and inspires trust in me.”

On Sunday, February 26, Lahore Qalandars will play Peshawar Zalmi in their fourth PSL 8 match at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, as per the original schedule.

It is important to note that the Qalandars, who are presently ranked third in the league table, have won two of the three games they have played.

In addition to taking home the Supernova Trophy and a check for Rs120 million, the PSL 8 champion will also earn a check for Rs48 million for finishing second.

Lahore Qalandars will try to become the first team to win consecutive championships, while Islamabad United will try to make history by winning the trophy three times.
