PAK vs AFG: Abdul Rehman claims “every player is a trump card for us”

Abdul Rehman, Pakistan’s T20I series head coach, is confident that his young team will be well prepared.

Pakistan’s team, led by Shadab Khan, consists primarily of inexperienced players. Major players like captain Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, and Fakhar Zaman have been given rest by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The interim coaching panel included Rehman, batting coach Mohammad Yousaf, and bowling coach Umar Gul.

“I started coaching at the grassroots level. Rehman addressed the media at a press conference held in Lahore. “International cricket is a whole different game, but there is no problem for me.”

“I have been given a team that is very young. I am looking forward to this young team’s performances and excited to coach them. “For us, every player is a trump card,” he continued.

During the three-match T20I series in Sharjah, PSL players Saim Ayub, Ihsanullah, Zaman Khan, Azam Khan, Imad Wasim, and Mohammad Haris will appear in action.

Rehman believes that Afghanistan players will be familiar with Pakistani players because of their participation in PSL 8.

“They [Afghanistan] will have an edge as they played with and against our players during PSL 8. Their bowlers will know who our batters are, “he said.

“I concentrate on maintaining players’ strengths. I’ll try to use my experience to put together a strong ground team. “He came to a conclusion,” he said.
