The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has ordered YouTube to immediately remove content based on immoral, obscene, nudity and hate speech in Pakistan.

According to details, PTA has issued the instructions in view of the extremely negative effects of inappropriate / immoral / pornographic material on YouTube and the presence of hate speech and sectarian material

YouTube was contacted to immediately remove the objectionable content and prevent it from being spread through this platform.

On the other hand, YouTube was asked by the PTA to adopt an effective and moderate strategy for content monitoring. 

These measures are aimed at preventing access to inappropriate content in Pakistan, detecting and deleting illegal content.

Earlier in July, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) had blocked video application Bigo and warned TikTok for spreading vulgarity and immorality against society.
