The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) ​​Cyber ​​Crime Wing has entered into a data-sharing agreement with the Facebook administration, while the Facebook expert team has also agreed to expedite cybercrime investigations.

According to the details, the officers of FIA Cyber ​​Crime Wing had a meeting with the Facebook administration in which steps were taken to ensure the cybersecurity of social media users while the Facebook expert team also discussed expediting the investigation of cybercrime.

The Federal Investigation Agency’s Cyber ​​Crime Wing signed a data-sharing agreement with the Facebook administration to deal with social media crimes.

The agreement with Facebook management was signed by Amir Farooqi, Director of Cyber ​​Crime Wing of FIA Cyber ​​Crime Wing and Abdul Qadir Qamar, Additional Director.

In an agreement between the Facebook administration and the FIA ​​Cyber ​​Crime Wing, the FIA ​​Cyber ​​Crime and Facebook Administration agreed on data sharing, under which new measures will be taken to ensure the cybersecurity of social media users.

An FIA spokesman said that the Facebook administration was in favour of contacting the FBI as part of its policy to combat cybercrime.

It may be recalled that in March this year, the management team of Asia Pacific Facebook Headquarters led by Safety Policy Chief Amber Hawks and Trust & Safety Manager Michael Yoon visited the office of FIA Director General (DG) Wajid Zia.

During the meeting, they discussed cooperation in the prevention of cybercrime.

The Facebook team also agreed to appoint a Cyber ​​Crime Wing Focal Person to investigate crimes against children and women, who will serve as a liaison officer with the Facebook team.

It was also agreed to increase liaison with the FIA’s cybercrime wing and increase cooperation to prevent cybercrime in line with Facebook’s policy.
