POCO M5, M5s Coming: What We Know

POCO introduced the POCO M4 5G, Poco M4 Pro 5G, and POCO M4 Pro 4G smartphones earlier this year. The company is developing the POCO M5 series of smartphones, including the POCO M5 and the POCO M5s, according to new information.

According to a report by Xiaomiui, two POCO phones with model numbers 22071219CG and 22071219CI are forthcoming. Both share the model number abbreviation L91C. The corresponding codenames are “rock” and “stone.” One of the devices supports NFC connectivity, while the other does not.

The article indicated that the IMEI 22071219CG appeared with the name POCO M5 in the IMEI database. Therefore, it appears that the global version of the POCO M5 may enable NFC. It is possible that the 22071219CI is its Indian model, which does not have NFC connectivity.

In addition, a device with the serial number 2207117BPG was just certified by the FCC. According to the FCC filings, it will be a rebranded version of the earlier Redmi Note 10S. The IMEI database record for the 2207117BPG indicated that it may first be marketed as the POCO M5s.

FCC approval for the POCO M5s confirmed that it will utilise MIUI 13. It will be available in three variants, according to the FCC listing: 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The remaining POCO M5s specs may be identical to those of the Redmi Note 10S.

The POCO M5s is therefore anticipated to include a 6.43-inch AMOLED FHD+ display, a Helio G95 processor, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging. It will have a 13-megapixel front camera and 64-megapixel quad back sensors. In August, the POCO M5 and M5s may debut.
