One of the most-wanted features ever is finally coming to WhatsApp. Through the Google Play Beta Program, WhatsApp is releasing a new update that brings the version number up to 2.22.22.14. With the new update, WhatsApp users on Android will be able to change text messages.

WhatsApp is basically working on putting a label in the chat bubble if the message has been changed.
With this feature, users will be able to fix typos in their messages after they have already been sent. The feature is still being worked on, but those who are in the beta test will be able to use it. The WABetaInfo found out how messages in a conversation are marked as edited.

As you can see in this screen shot, when a message has been changed, the word “Edited” will appear next to it. Also, you have exactly 15 minutes to change a message in WhatsApp. As happens when everyone deletes a message.

At the moment, it is not clear if the recipient will see the edited message first or the original one if he does not turn on his device within a certain amount of time.
This feature isn’t ready yet, unfortunately.

We don’t know when it will come out, either. If testing goes well, we might be able to use this feature by the end of this year. If you are one of the people who are getting this feature, please tell us about it in the section below.
