Microsoft has stated that it is testing an improved volume mixer in Quick Settings for Windows 11, allowing users to easily customise the audio.
This new feature is now available in the current “Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25309 to the Dev Channel,” according to a blog post published by Microsoft on Thursday.
“The updated audio quick settings experience brings a modern volume mixer that allows for quick customisation of audio on a per-app basis, with additional control to swap devices on the fly.”
In the current preview build, the company has also implemented a new keyboard shortcut (WIN + CTRL + V) to bring users right to the volume mixer for easier control.
Users will be able to better customise their audio experience with greater control and fewer clicks as a result of this improvement.
“In addition, with a quick access list of installed spatial sound technology, we’ve made it easier for users to enable their Windows Sonic experience,” the company added.
Insiders in the Dev Channel will also be able to enable Auto Color Management (ACM) for their SDR displays, allowing them to see all colours in all Windows programs.
The tech giant also stated that it has entirely redesigned the in-app command help page for voice access to make it easier to use.
“The search bar allows users to quickly find commands, and the different categories provide further guidance. Every command now has a description and examples of its variations, making it easier to understand and use,” it added.
