A young woman who defines herself as a “gypsy girl” has reacted angrily to negative assumptions about the travelling group.

Adele Hartley aims to debunk the stereotype that travellers are slackers by providing visitors a glance into her everyday routine, which is far from slacker.

She captioned the video “What people assume gypsy girls do every day” and posted it on her TikTok account @adelehartley_, displaying a snapshot of a young woman watching television with a fizzy drink in one hand and a bowl of chips on her lap.

The video then turns to footage of Adele in her everyday life, with the phrase “versus what we actually do.”

She demonstrates a change of her bed, which is now adorned with opulent wraps and pillows suitable for a queen, before revealing

Then, she embarks upon a mammoth cleaning routine which puts the rest of us to shame.

Adele begins by wiping off her bedside cabinet and the walls with a heated cloth. She then works her way up to the skirting boards and light switches.

Adele then sprays furniture polish onto the wooden door before polishing it with another towel till it sparkles.

She next goes on to the radiator, where she uses a little brush to reach in between the top ridges.

Adele opens the window and cleans the inside of the frame, even going so far as to push a cotton bud into the tiniest holes to ensure everything is shining clean.

Finally, she grabs her toothbrush and a bottle of Cif and begins cleaning the rest of the window frame, leaving no stone untouched.

Viewers of Adele’s extreme cleaning regimen remarked on the video, shocked at how meticulous she was.

One person said: “I honestly have so much respect for anyone who spends their days like this I could never.”

Unfortunately, several others took advantage of the occasion to mock Adele for being a member of the travelling community and hurled stereotypes at her.

“Why so harsh, I never mentioned anything against non-gypsies,” Adele said.
