The 18-year-old teen who intended to torture and kill a guy with a murder kit including bleach in exchange for sleeping with other women has been imprisoned
A TEENAGER has been imprisoned for methodically planning to torture and murder a casual fling because he was sleeping with other women.
Sophie George, then 18, assembled a nasty murder kit with bleach, duct tape, forensic gear, bin liners, and lighter fuel before meeting her victim in 2019.
She tried to persuade Adam Yiosese to drive to a park before pulling a huge serrated knife on him, but he escaped and dialled 999.
When police investigated her home in Brighton, East Sussex, they discovered “scary” written plans for kidnapping and murdering him, as well as preparations for changing her name and starting a new life.
This plan involved forcing Mr Yiosese to walk to a cemetery she had dug for him and tormenting him until he divulged the names of other women with whom he had slept.
Cops also uncovered an application to alter her name and passport application documents.
Before sentencing George to jail, a judge warned her in Hove Crown Court today that she constituted a risk to anybody else she could meet romantically.
Christine Henson, a judge, stated: “From what I’ve read about this case, it appears that you were obsessed with vengeance because you suspected the victim of seeing other women.
“You went to great efforts to meticulously organise your attack. It is evident that you were aware that what you were doing was improper, and your strategy included avoiding responsibility and detection.”
She continued, saying: “If you are envious or insecure, the author of the pre sentencing report believes you are a very high danger to intimate partners.
“Although this is a one-time occurrence, it is highly worrisome, and your ability to disguise it from people around you makes it much more so.
“A casual relationship is a pretty typical event in many people’s lives. Your reaction to this was absolutely out of the ordinary.
“It is evident that you endanger those who you think have let you down. This was not a spur-of-the-moment reaction, but one that you thought about and prepared for weeks before attempting to carry out.”
The horrific encounter has left Mr Yiosese with flashbacks and problems trusting friends, according to the court.
George, now 20, had two Dutch braids, a grey headband, a white t-shirt, and black pants when she was punished.
TEEN’S TORTURE PLOT
George and Mr Yiosese met at Moulsecoomb train station when she was 17 and he was studying at the University of Brighton, the court heard.
He had graduated with honours and was working as a railway engineer in London at the time of the assault.
They’d exchanged texts during the summer, but she’d postponed his visit to the coastal town while she plotted his murder.
George ultimately proposed meeting on October 9 at 11.15 p.m. outside her house, and he was perplexed when she grew furious because he had taken his work van rather than his automobile.
Later, police learned she had been studying how to lock the doors from the inside in the model he was driving.
