Woman with a sloppy fiancé divides the house in half to make him do more tasks
We may be well into the twenty-first century, yet in 2022, it cannot be denied that women perform more housework than males.
According to a UCL research three years ago, the woman in a straight relationship with full-time job was five times more likely to complete 20 hours of tasks each week.
And if you believe your spouse isn’t doing their fair share, it may be really stressful to come home from a long day of work and discover you still have to prepare dinner, iron, and take out the garbage.
According to Grazia, one lady who believes her fiancé isn’t doing his fair share has devised a brilliant idea to make him appreciate how much she does around the house.
“[My fiancé] was a self-admitted mama’s boy and travelled right from his parents’ place to our shared home,” she stated on Reddit.
It didn’t take long after the couple moved in together for his messy habits to grate on her nerves, and after three weeks she confronted him.
She says, though, that her befuddled admirer was taken aback by her charge that he’s dirty and maintained she was incorrect.
After the couple battled over it, the woman’s fiancé devised a plan to prove himself: they would divide the home and each take responsible for cleaning one half.
The woman took his suggestion seriously and pulled out her masking tape.
She then used the tape to separate every single area in the house, including the fridge and kitchen countertops.
After her fiancé suggested sharing the cleaning tasks for two months, the lady felt that just one would do to demonstrate her point.
Unsurprisingly, the fiancé’s side of the house gradually deteriorated.
‘Not even a week in, and his half looked like a pigsty,’ the woman wrote.
She stated that she deviated from her rule and cleaned the toilet and shower during the month, which were technically on her fiancé’s side.
