As soon as the Bollywood film ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ trailer was released earlier today, Pakistani fans immediately noticed the song played in it. The film features Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and other famous actors. Karan Johar’s movie copied Abrar ul Haq’s famous nostalgic song ‘Nach Punjaban’ that fans couldn’t be more outraged over.
Fans immediately showed their displeasure over the whole fiasco by commenting all over social media. The singer-turned Politician Abrar ul Haq’s songs have also been copied in the past. Celebrities, fans, and friends started pushing Abrar to file a copyright infringement case on Karan Johar.
It has been Bollywood’s old trick to copy all Pakistani songs. Most of them have come to the notice of fans all over the world. Especially the all-time hit songs of Bollywood are either a second or third copy of Pakistan’s famous old songs. Most of them belonged to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. However, this time Abrar ul Haq took immediately on Twitter to show his outrage over the incident. He also denied any possibility of him giving any copyrights or permission to use the song.
Here’s the tweet Abrar ul Haq posted:
I have not sold my song “ Nach Punjaban” to any Indian movie and reserve the rights to go to court to claim damages. Producers like @karanjohar should not use copy songs. This is my 6th song being copied which will not be allowed at all.@DharmaMovies @karanjohar
