Man beats crocodile
Australians aren’t afraid of crocodiles, unlike other people. A video of a man beats a crocodile with a frying pan has surprised netizens as the animal scurries back into the river.
A video from Darwin, Northern Territory, shows a crocodile in the pub’s front yard. Instead of being terrified, the bar owner fights back with a kitchen tool.
Despite the crocodile coming at him, the man hits it with a frying pan like it’s nothing. His actions frightened the animal, which ran back to the river, leaving everyone laughing but worried.
Airborne Solutions Helicopter Tours posted the video with the caption #HeliPubCrawl, “Goat Island isn’t your average pub and King Kai isn’t your average publican! You just never know what he’ll serve up next.”
Goat Island Lodge owner Kai Hansen was recognised as the man who hit Fred, a saltwater crocodile, with a pan. Hansen, as ‘King Kai,’ lives on the island with his pet crocodile Casey, and only one reptile is permitted.
As Kai Hansen said, “My kingdom has the only croc-infested moat all around it,” he explained to the news channel. Hansen added that when Fred moved in, Casey started to climb up onto a walkway near the island’s heliport. “Now he’s bigger than her and that is a problem.”
He further added, “I wouldn’t say it’s an everyday event, but I’ve got to stay safe and do what I can,”
Hansen told the media, “No one got hurt and the croc got a good lesson.”
Hansen’s actions derive from having lost a pet before, reports news.com.au. Hansen refused to let the crocodile strut since it ate his dog Dumb Blonde.
