The largest exercise trampoline class in Mexico City has achieved the Guinness World Record. The 45-minute workshop was held at Plaza del Plinth, a major public square in the middle of Mexico City.
On Sunday, around 3,935 persons successfully completed the record-breaking move. There were originally 4,065 contestants, but 130 were disqualified because they did not fully comply with the Guinness World Record rules. As a result, 3,935 persons were added to the total.
The attempt was supervised by Susana Reyes, the official adjudicator for Guinness World Records. The trampoline class took place at 10.40 am on Sunday. After the class, Claudia Sheinbaum, head of the Mexico City government, tweeted that the event broke the Guinness World Record for the largest fitness trampoline class. In her tweet, she wrote that engagement with sports is an effective way to keep young people away from violence.

Participants in the trampoline fitness class were obliged to register through the government website of the Iztapalapa City Hall, according to Mexico Detail Zero. Registration was open to everyone between the ages of 14 and 60.
This is not the first time Mexico City has set a world record in the field of sports or fitness. In June of this year, 14,299 people participated in a boxing class, setting a global record for the largest boxing class ever held.
