Elephant patiently getting X-rays. Elephants are known as “gentle giants” for good reason. These lovely jumbos are also extremely intellectual creatures, capable of feeling and comprehending a vast range of emotions. Several movies on the internet wonderfully portray the core of their brilliance. A similar video of an elephant having an X-ray in a hospital has now surfaced. One would expect that getting such a massive animal to undergo an X-ray technique would be a monumental feat, but strangely, the reverse was true.

Kaveri posted the video to Twitter with the caption, “I am sure you have never seen such a cooperative patient coming in for an X-Ray.”

The footage begins with an elephant entering the lab discreetly with an attendant. While the lab worker prepares the machine, the giant patiently waits without raising a fuss. It obeys his attendant’s directions and lies down on the floor to obtain the X-ray.

The jumbo lies down and fully cooperates with lab personnel. It’s as if the elephant realised what was going on around it and responded with calm and tolerance.

The video has left the internet pleasantly surprised, with many commenting that not even human patients are this cooperative. Others were delighted to see the elephant’s gentle behaviour. One user said, ” Such gentle , intelligent giants! I hope we can all be worthy of their trust & affection.” Another commented, ” Omg..none of my patients are so cooperative.” A third wrote, ” Beautiful. What lovely creatures. How can we even think of harming them? We, humans, are an evil species when we harm animals.”

A fourth said, ”Such gentle, intelligent giants! I hope we can all be worthy of their trust & affection.” ”Incredible. She is so cooperative,” wrote another.
