A video of a mother chopping off her daughter’s hair has angered social media users. The TikTok clip is now on Twitter. Users criticized the mother’s triggering behaviour.

In the live-streamed clip, the woman is seen grabbing her daughter’s hair and cutting off her braids as she looks shocked. The girl called out “mom” but her mother wouldn’t budge.

The woman said, “Don’t mom me, no. You had your warning, you had your chance. I told you to listen, I told you stop disobeying my rules. I told you being cute ain’t sh*t if you have no education. I told you stop disobeying me, I told to listen and do as you’re supposed to, I told you to do good in school, I told you to do your daily routine.”

“And you’re yet to do any of it, and you thought you were disobeying me today, and I was not coming to cut this hair off. You’re sadly mistaken because you thought being pretty was so much better than being educated or listening to your mom right,” she said as she cut her daughter’s hair.

Finally, the woman shoved her daughter’s head towards the camera and said, “Yes, this is what happens when you don’t listen to your mom.”

In a follow-up video, the woman asked if her daughter felt “traumatized” or “abused.” She’s partially in frame asking her daughter if she’s traumatized or abused. The girl said “no” and agreed that the forced haircut was “better form of discipline.”

Social media users were outraged by the mother’s actions and blasted her in the comments.
