The latest in high fashion occasionally comes across as a little odd. One such thing in particular has sparked online discussion. It is a pre-owned Chanel purse that is listed on the website Farfetch for a staggering price of $104,663, or more than 86 lakhs. Soak that in, please!

“For AW14, Chanel created its own a supermarket to showcase one of the brand’s most memorable runways. Forming part of said collection is this basket bag, wrapped with the maison’s signature leather and chain-link straps,” states the bag’s description on the site.

According to media sources, Chanel debuted the shopping basket handbag as a part of its autumn/winter 2014 accessory line. The bag is calfskin-covered and fashioned of brass.
