Social media users have praised Sandesh Kumar, a police constable, for his bravery in rescuing an elderly man who had become stuck in a swamp. The Agra police released a video of the difficult rescue.
In the video posted on Twitter, a police officer is seen using a rope to enter a marsh. The old man is spotted in the swamp, submerged. He is carried out by police men on his shoulders, and other officers save them by pulling them to safety.
Sher Singh, a Station House Officer (SHO), oversaw the rescue effort. Saluting the valiant efforts of Constable Sandesh Kumar and team PS Barhan of @agrapolice who coordinated the available resources to rescue an elderly guy stuck in a marshy area, wrote UP Police in a tweet.

The police policeman was praised online for performing the dangerous operation. A user wrote, “Salute to his excellent courage and exemplary policing.” Another user wrote, “Agra cops did great work. Hats up to that individual.

UP cops had previously received praise online for saving a woman who had allegedly leapt into a dry well. Using a rope and an improvised pulley, a policeman entered the well.
The woman was brought back to safety after being pulled by ropes that were fastened to a charpai. Her family was reunited with her, and she received medical attention.
