Temperatures plummet in Karachi as winds from Siberia pick up

According to details, the minimum temperature in Karachi was recorded at 15 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature was expected to rise from 24 to 26 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, light rain and light snow are expected over the next 24 hours with some places becoming cloudy in Gilgit-Baltistan.

There were reports of rain from Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Tando Muhammad Khan under the influence of a westerly disturbance, the Met office said and added that only drizzle with cool breeze was reported from different areas of Karachi.

It is to be noted that fog is still prevailing in many cities of Punjab including Lahore.

Motorway police have directed citizens to refrain from making unnecessary trips. In addition to severe fog in Multan, flights were also diverted to Islamabad.

Most of the cities of Punjab and Sindh are still foggy today.
