Murree Weather Update: More Rain and Snowfall Likely

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts more rain and snowfall for Murree and Galyat on Monday evening/night due to a westerly wave affecting most parts of Pakistan in the next 24 hours.

On Tuesday, Murree and Galyat can expect partly cloudy and freezing weather, with minimum temperatures ranging from -03 to -01 degrees Celsius.

In the past 24 hours, freezing weather dominated Murree, Galyat, and other tourist spots, with light rain/drizzle and scattered snowfall in Galyat. Murree experienced a temperature drop of 03 degrees Celsius below freezing, and the morning humidity was 82 percent.

Despite the challenging weather conditions, a large number of tourists visited Murree and Galyat, leading to infrastructure strain. The surge in visitors, especially for snowfall, resulted in traffic congestion in Murree and on roads leading to Galyat and other tourist spots.

Tourists expressed concerns about insufficient parking, significant price hikes for goods and hotel rentals, and dissatisfaction with the behavior of businesses in Malika-e-Kohsar.
