More rain, wind, thunderstorms, and hailstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other parts of Pakistan from Friday night to Sunday. The Pakistan Meteorological Department says a weather system called a westerly wave is affecting the western and upper parts of Pakistan, bringing rainy and stormy conditions.

During this time, there could be heavy rainfall in places like Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, which might lead to flash floods in some areas. There’s also a risk of landslides in certain hilly regions. The weather may also cause strong winds, hailstorms, and lightning, which could be dangerous for people, crops, and structures like electric poles and solar panels.

In Islamabad and Rawalpindi, temperatures are expected to stay between 31-33 degrees Celsius over the weekend. Previously, there were isolated rain and thunderstorms in various parts of the country, with some areas experiencing heavy rainfall. The hottest place in Pakistan was Kasur at 42 degrees Celsius, while Islamabad and Rawalpindi had maximum temperatures of 26 and 32 degrees Celsius, respectively, with moderate humidity.
