The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts more rain, wind, thunderstorms, and hailstorms in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday night and Tuesday due to a strong westerly wave. This weather pattern is expected to last for the next 24 to 36 hours.
Areas like Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Abbottabad, Mansehra, and others are likely to experience heavy rainfall, which could lead to flash floods and landslides in some places. Windstorms, hailstorms, and lightning might also pose risks to people, crops, and structures like electric poles and solar panels.
Peshawar’s temperatures are expected to range from 22-24 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 33-35 C on Wednesday.
In the past 24 hours, there were rain, wind, and thunderstorms in Peshawar and other parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Notable rainfall amounts were recorded in various areas, with Saidu Sharif receiving 49 mm, Kalam 31 mm, and Balakot 26 mm, among others.
