Donald Trump sues prominent New York attorney for “intimidation”

Letitia James, the attorney general of New York, is being sued by Donald Trump for allegedly waging a “campaign of intimidation and harassment” against him.

It comes after a lawsuit Ms. James filed in September accusing Mr. Trump and three of his children of defrauding her over a ten-year period.

Republican Mr. Trump has long charged that the Democrat is using her position for personal advantage.

Any impropriety has been consistently denied by the former president.

In his most recent complaint, Mr. Trump accused Ms. James of waging “a relentless, poisonous, public, and unapologetic crusade” against him and the Trump Organization. The lawsuit was submitted to the Florida State Circuit Court.

Additionally, he claims that the case brought by the attorney general against him is a “conspiracy” to take over his company and that it all started as a “cartoonish, thinly-veiled attempt to publicly trash” the previous president.

He further stated on his Truth Social social media account that “this would not be happening” if he were “not leading in the polls by huge margins against both Democrats and Republicans.”
