Toronto: Eight teenage girls convicted for murder

According to Canadian authorities, eight adolescent females have been accused of killing a 59-year-old man in Toronto.

Just after midnight local time on Sunday, the females, who range in age from 13 to 16, are charged with stabbing the victim during what the police refer to as “a swarming.”

The attacker, a guy whose identity has not been released, was residing in a homeless shelter at the time of the crime.

In a statement, Toronto Mayor John Tory expressed his “very troubled” response to the situation.

Shortly after midnight on Sunday, a group of onlookers saw the man with stab wounds and called for help, according to Toronto Police Detective Sergeant Terry Browne.

The victim later passed away in the hospital; she had only recently moved into sheltered accommodation.

The females were detained close to the scene of the incident, and several firearms were recovered. Their names are protected by Canadian law.

According to Detective Sergeant Terry Browne, they had connected via social media and three of them had previously interacted with the police.

“We don’t know how or why they met that evening, or why they went to downtown Toronto,” the author said.

He said that it was thought they had gotten into a fight earlier that evening.

The victim was stabbed in the stomach after attempting to protect her when the females approached her for booze, a resident of a nearby homeless shelter told CBC Toronto.

“I had no idea if they were carrying a knife or not. I was only afraid “She claimed, describing how she escaped the assailants and went to the shelter for safety.

The young ages of those indicted and the quantity of those allegedly implicated in this murder deeply trouble Mayor Tory.

He continued, “My sympathies are with these man’s friends and everybody who knew him as they grieve his loss.
