The UK’s cold snap has ended, but weather experts predict heavy rain.
Highs of 14C (57F) are expected in London, Edinburgh, Belfast, and Cardiff later today.
Last week, daytime temperatures struggled to get above freezing and nighttime temperatures fell below zero.
Braemar, Scotland, had -17.3C on Tuesday, and London and the south of England got snow last week.
The swing from freezing to spring-like temperatures causes meteorological mayhem.
Met Office issues yellow rain warnings for southern England and south Wales until 6am Tuesday.
Homes, businesses, and roads could flood, causing travel disruptions.
Overnight, the Environment Agency issued flood warnings for Alfriston,
Horsebridge, and Mock Bridge in Sussex.
England has 13 flood warnings.
Met Office meteorologist Alex Burkill said, “It was so cold before this that the grounds and drains may have been frozen.”
As a result, their ability to cope with rainfall may have been reduced, so the warning was issued.
Monday night into Tuesday will be milder than recent days, but frost is possible in Scotland.

The rise in temperature could also cause some pipes to burst as water thaws, as seen in London this week when 60 firefighters helped flood victims.

Heavy snow downed power lines in Shetland on Monday, but power was restored today.
The islands lost power and a major incident was declared.
Mr. Brown, the Scottish government’s resilience minister, said “exceptional weather” caused “complex damage to the power network.”
