Officials said that one woman was taken to the hospital and that another woman and eight children were “safely evacuated.” Officials say that a three-alarm fire in Pittsburgh killed three people last night.
The Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire got multiple calls about a house on fire early Saturday morning. They went to the 3400 block of McClure Avenue just before 2 a.m.
A tweet from Pittsburgh Public Safety says that the fire started as a two-alarm fire with “heavy fire all over,” but it quickly grew to a three-alarm fire.
Officials said that one woman was taken to the hospital in “serious but stable condition” and that another woman and eight children were “safely evacuated.”
UPDATE 4: Three occupants have been located deceased inside the home. The @RedCrossGPA has been notified to provide assistance.

A firefighter with a cut on his arm was also taken to the hospital.
Pittsburgh Public Safety said that three other people who lived in the house were still missing as crews worked to put out the fire.
Officials said that the fire was put out at 3:50 a.m. and that an adult and two children were found dead inside the house.
Officials didn’t know who any of the people who died in the fire were.
The fire’s cause is still being looked into.
