The 18-year-old woman who lost her life when the car she was riding in during a police pursuit overturned has been identified as Amber Deakin.

At around 23:45 UTC on Tuesday, Amber Deakin was a passenger in a silver Vauxhall Vectra that crashed on Baildon Road near Pasture Road in Bradford.

Seven minutes before to the collision, the automobile was being pursued by police after the driver ignored their request to halt on Otley Road in Shipley.

Two males who had been detained in relation to the accident have been released on bail.

Four other males and one women were treated for injuries they received in the accident.

The Vectra, which was carrying six people, was being overrun by other vehicles, according to West Yorkshire Police, who have made an appeal for witnesses and stated that they want to speak with those drivers.

The vehicle was being pursued at the time of the collision, according to the police, thus a report was made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).

Since then, the IOPC has announced a separate investigation into the crash.
