Following an investigation, British police announced on Friday that they had charged a 21-year-old serving soldier with a terrorism offense and an offense involving explosives.

The key Englishman from Stafford, Daniel Abed Khalif, was charged by the Metropolitan Police in London with attempting to obtain information in August 2021 that may be used by someone planning or carrying out a terrorist act.

According to a statement from the police, Khalif was additionally charged on Friday with the offense of putting something where someone else might mistake it for a bomb. The statement further stated that the offense occurred on or before January 2 of this year.

Khalif is being held by the police and will show up in court on Saturday at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London.
