A telecoms engineer Oliver Lewin was sentenced to prison after planning terrorist attacks on phone, TV, and radio towers as part of a scheme to “topple the government.”
Oliver Lewin, 38, was found guilty of planning terrorist activities after claiming to be a “fantasist” during a trial at Birmingham Crown Court.
He reportedly conducted reconnaissance on potential targets and made recruitment efforts, according to the court.
Lewin, of Ferrers Road in Coalville, was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison.
During a hearing on Friday, it was stated to Judge Paul Farrer KC that Lewin was “strongly opposed” to the British government.
Lewin thought that the government was “controlled by a Jewish elite who took directions from Israel,” according to prosecutor Annabel Darlow KC.
In addition, Lewin had doubts about the coronavirus epidemic and thought that the vaccination was being utilized to murder White people in Europe.
Lewin’s objectives were difficult to distinguish from his “many exaggerations and untruths,” according to the judge.
Using the secure chat app Telegram, he said Lewin made recruitment attempts during a four-and-a-half-week period in July and August 2021.
To present himself as a “knowledgeable and fearless military man,” he supposed to have worked for the Army, the court heard.
