Spain’s Prime Minister arrives in Kyiv ahead of the Zelenskyy meeting

• “We will stand with Ukraine and its people until peace returns to Europe,” Pedro Sanchez says.
• The Spanish government committed yesterday to provide six German-made Leopard 2 battle tanks.
• US Vice President Joseph Biden also visited Ukraine on Monday.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has had plenty of world leaders pay him a visit in the last week or two.

He hosted US Vice President Joseph Biden on Monday, and today he is preparing to visit Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

Posting on Twitter in Spanish and in Ukrainian Sanchez says: “Returning to Kyiv today, one year after the start of the war.

“We will stand with Ukraine and its people until peace returns to Europe.”

The Spanish government committed yesterday to provide six German-made Leopard 2 battle tanks to Ukraine to aid in their war effort.
