The 33-year-old Sarah Everard was kidnapped, raped, and murdered in 2021 by Wayne Couzens, a former London police officer.

Couzens was sentenced to an additional 19 months in prison for indecent exposure offences that occurred while he was on duty.

Having having been given a life sentence without the possibility of parole for the murder of Everard, which infuriated the public and generated a national conversation about violence against women, Couzens was already being held accountable.

He was also given a term on Monday for having three separate encounters with women in the months before the murder.

Two took place at a fast-food restaurant, the most recent just days before he killed Everard, and one happened while Couzens was working a shift as a police officer.

At the hearing on Monday, Couzens was seen through video link from prison.

According to testimony given in court, he was meant to be working from home but, in November 2020, he stepped into the path of a female bicycle while self-congratulation in a wooded area of Kent.

Then, while using a fast food drive-through to order food on two separate occasions in February 2021, Couzens showed employees his erect personal part.

During the second incident, which happened on February 27, Couzens abducted Everard in south London.

A few days later, on March 3, he was released.

In addition, Couzens denied a fourth accusation of indecent exposure stemming from an alleged incident in June 2015 on Monday.

He won’t go to trial for the 2015 charge, according to the UK news outlet PA Media, because it was left on file.
