One person died and four were reported missing in the Adiyaman Province’s Tut District, according to preliminary reports from yesterday.

The second victim’s body was discovered, according to Turkey’s Ministry of Interior’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), and search efforts are still underway for the three others who are still missing.

It is believed that the deceased perished when floodwaters flooded a container home that was housing earthquake survivors.

A total of 346 people, including 15 vehicles, 14 professional divers, and 140 search and rescue professionals, have been deployed to the region to conduct search and rescue operations.

Six rescue boats and pumping equipment were also assigned.

The Adyaman-elikhan Highway has been closed after a bridge collapsed on it, according to government reports from other parts of the province.

According to AFADF, there have been at least 12 flood-related fatalities in the province and city of Anlurfa, also known as Urfa.

Body parts were discovered inside automobiles stranded in a flooded underpass and in a basement apartment.

Two more persons are still missing.

According to AFAD, 562 calls for help were received by emergency services.

The city has sustained significant damage, including numerous vehicle wrecks as well as harmed buildings and roadways.

Debris from the flood was scattered all over the city streets. In parts of Anlurfa’s smaller streets, the muddy floodwater left behind water marks that were higher than head height.

Floodwaters were still present as of March 15 in several regions, making some houses only reachable by boat.

People were instructed to leave the basements and ground levels of the buildings and move to higher stores.

Several buildings have been evacuated by police and emergency personnel.

According to AFAD, the area is being serviced by pumping equipment, 25 boats, 23 search and rescue vehicles, 17 expert divers, and 162 search and rescue people.

From other provinces, reinforcements have been brought in.

On March 15, a number of government politicians, including the interior minister Suleyman Soylu, travelled to impacted districts to view the destruction and damage brought on by the floods.
