Alia shared a picture of a lion and lioness with a little cub, cuddling together. The accompanying text reads, “And in the best news of our lives: Our baby is here.. and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love – blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!!!!” Both Alia and Ranbir inscribed “love love love” on the note.

On Sunday morning in Mumbai, Alia was admitted to the Reliance Hospital, Girgaon. When Alia and Ranbir arrived to the hospital in their cars, Ranbir was by her side. Soon after, their family arrived at the hospital, accompanied by Soni Razdan, the mother of Alia, and Neetu Kapoor, the mother of Ranbir. Numerous news websites and the paparazzi had already reported that the couple had become parents to a baby girl before the family had officially verified the news.

Riddhima Kapoor, Ranbir’s sister, eventually verified it. Speaking about it, Riddhima said, “In France right now, but can’t wait to see the newborn! We are all very excited! Mom (Neetu Kapoor) will FaceTime me the minute she sees her.”
