The old and the new under one roof. The National History Museum, Lahore is a digital institution located in Greater Iqbal Park. This project was created and maintained by the Parks and Horticulture Authority in the walled city. The museum was inaugurated on April 17, 2018. It serves the people of the provincial capital through educative displays and written briefs on the history of the country since its inception in 1947. It remains popular among the city’s children. Here, a girl watches an animated virtual reality docu-drama experience that immerses the viewers in one of the largest forced migrations in human history. The post-Partition artefacts on display at the natural history museum include the radio, telephone, typewriter, old passport office and music instruments.
