British Teen Arrives at Prom in Vampire Coffin, Shocks Teachers

In a bold and unconventional move, 16-year-old Abi Ricketts made a striking entrance at Trinity Academy’s prom in a coffin. The teenager arrived in a black Volvo XC90, dressed in a black lace corset dress, lace tights, and boots, while her father and brother played the roles of undertakers. Abi’s dramatic arrival paid tribute to her late grandmother, Margaret, who had supported her unique plan but sadly passed away earlier this year.

Abi’s desire to stand out and defy convention inspired the idea of arriving in a coffin. She has always been drawn to goth and metal subcultures, citing the movie “Lost Boys” as one of her favourites and embracing vampire aesthetics. The concept was initially discussed with her grandmother, who enthusiastically embraced it.

Although Abi’s entrance may have raised a few eyebrows, her family, who are also fans of goth and metal, fully supported her choice. The occasion served as a poignant tribute to her grandmother and showcased Abi’s determination to be true to herself and stand out from the crowd.
