Dwellings Of Prophet Lot Discovered In Southern Jordan Valley

Local experts in Jordan, in collaboration with relevant government agencies, have announced the discovery of Prophet Lot’s dwelling in the southern part of the country, in the southern Jordan Valley region.

On Friday, Mohammed Hammad, head of the Tourist Guides Association in Jordan, said the latest revelation was one of the most important discoveries of the Jordanian state in the second century.

Experts have used astronomical, geological and geographical arguments to substantiate this discovery. In addition, archaeological excavations and routes in the area were also given special consideration.

According to the Jordanian state news agency Patra, the evidence obtained includes Babylon, the Ebla tablets, the Akkadian tablets, and the later Roman roads.

Professor of Anthropology at Al al-Bayt University of Jordan, and a member of the discovery team, Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, said that that “field studies, scientific comparisons, and patterns of stability in the region have been covered from all sides, confirming the truth of this discovery and its unquestionable proof and that the evidence Anthropology confirms the results of archaeological research.
